An excellent opportunity for a Solutions Cyber Security Architect to join our team to be integral to ensuring the secure design of IT solutions. Collaborating closely with project teams as well as domain-specific security architecture experts, you will provide leadership and guidance to ensure that projects adopt a risk-managed approach to cybersecurity.

This role demands a deep expertise in security technologies, risk management, and the ability to create innovative solutions to complex security challenges.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading as a security subject matter expert (SME) by providing advice, guidance, and oversight on securing IT architectures for complex systems and high-risk projects.
  • Driving project requirements through a threat and risk-driven methodology.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior Security Architects and other security professionals.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of Capita's enterprise security architecture model.
  • Contributing to the development of corporate security policies, principles, standards, and guidelines as needed.
  • Educating and communicating security matters to the broader technology community.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in cyber security architecture
  • Working towards CISSP certification or holding an equivalent security certification.
  • Broad technical security architecture knowledge gained through training and certification (i.e. ISC2 CISSP-ISSAP, BCS Practitioner Certificate in Security Architecture or equiv.)
  • Security technology knowledge covering three or more from the following examples (the list is not exhaustive): SIEM, SOAR, DLP, EDR/XDR, PAM, EPP, Cloud Security, Network Security, Secure SDLC, Cryptography.
  • Ideally the candidate will also have knowledge of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or SABSA along with architecture development and modelling knowledge and experience with ArchiMate.
  • Knowledge of business continuity, risk management and enterprise architecture
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences clearly.
  • Deep knowledge in one or more key IT security domains such as networking, cloud, end-user computing etc., as well as broad knowledge across the wider information security and assurance domain.
  • Due to the market sectors Capita operate within, you must be a UK national and hold, or be able to gain, SC security vetting clearance.
