Head of Employment/Legal Director

The role entails pro-actively managing a varied caseload of employment matters and undertaking a leading role in the development of the department. The successful candidate will also contribute to the wider business objectives in line with the business strategy, vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Representing both employers and individuals on a broad range of matters including attending tribunals and undertaking advocacy as appropriate
  • Delivering practical and tailored employment and HR advice
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
  • Developing a marketing strategy for the department, undertaking business development initiatives, supervising the provision of employment and HR services for the department and delivering training to the wider department, including briefings and updates

Requirements:

  • 7+ years with significant PQE in employment law.
  • Proven track record in a similar leadership role within a reputable firm.
  • Strong academic background and excellent technical legal skills.
  • Exceptional client care and communication abilities.
  • Adept at business development with a network of professional contacts.
