The impact you'll make.
You will assist management in ensuring staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures and ensure uniform and personal appearance standards are adhered to. Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate, and address guests' service needs. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.


What you'll do.
- Oversee the smooth running of the C&B department (before, during and after service periods) and allocate daily jobs as required.
- Coach, guide and train all new and current members of staff to enable them to successfully contribute to the team objectives.
- To ensure that you and the team have a full product knowledge of all menu items, wine and drinks lists and their service.
- To ensure function areas are set as per client's specifications as per Banquet Event Order.
- Communicate with guests, other employees, or departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- To always maintain a high standard of service within C&B Areas.
- Be responsible for security and safe handling of all equipment used within the department.
- Be responsible for department daily financial reporting.
- Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies and be responsible to report accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Ensure that proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment. And work in a safe manner always.
- Deal with any issues that may arise to minimise guest complaints.

This role also requires the ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. In addition, you'll need to be able to reach overhead and below your knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping, and move over uneven or sloping surfaces.

Who we are looking for.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a fast learner, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be extremely efficient and professionally skilled in:
- Effective communication (verbal, listening, writing) and negotiation skills.
- Cocktail, Spirits and Wine Knowledge
- Proactive and reliable
- Responsible and highly motivated
- Responsible Service of Alcohol or Personal License Holder Certificated preferred.
