Are you a skilled professional looking to take on a high-impact role within a growing team? A leading UK-based business is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Controls Testing Specialist to join its Group Controls Team. Based out of the office 2-3 days per week, the Controls Testing Specialist will be part of a supportive, inclusive, and growth-focused culture that values professional expertise and career development. Salary is up to £55,000 + a competitive benefits package.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that serves as the second line of defence for financial, reporting, operational, and compliance controls across an industry leading organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with various key stakeholders, including the CFO and the Group Financial Controller. In this role, the Controls Testing Specialist will have a critical impact on shaping and strengthening the internal controls environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test the design and effectiveness of financial and operational controls.
  • Document and present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Recommend control improvements and support the implementation of these enhancements.
  • Monitor the progress of recommendations and report on their outcomes.
  • Assist in rolling out the internal control framework.
  • Support the team with a variety of control-related projects.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • External audit background with large and complex businesses would be highly beneficial
  • Great at managing fast paced, complex projects
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders across the business
