Our client is an International Global Freight Forwarder they have invested heavily in its European Road freight division and has aspirations to be an industry leader in European Overland servicesWe are now recruiting for a European Road Freight Trainee to join the freight forwarding team based in Wythenshawe, near Manchester airportThis is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join a strong and dynamic team as they continue their rapid expansion. Working within the European Roadfreight team, based in Manchester, learning what it takes to be a logistics professional with full on the job training and ongoing career development. This role is ideally suited to an individual looking to commence a career in Freight Forwarding, with a good level of IT literacy and who possesses excellent customer serviceMain duties:* Take requests and queries and resolve them effectively and efficiently.* Communicate with overseas agents and clients clearly, precisely and accurately. * You will support our Senior Account Manager team with day-to-day operations. * You will be speaking to customers, suppliers and colleagues throughout the UK and Europe, you will help facilitate smooth and frictionless transport of orders to, from and within the continent.* Entering shipments on our in-house system, you will generate orders and instructions for our suppliers. * You will input relevant information into the internal system and follow procedures.* General freight office administration Experience required:* Keen to learn * Excellent attention to detail* An interest in logistics, preferably road freight * Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers and suppliers. * The capacity to work in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure.* The ability to liaise with a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers. * A positive attitude and good problem-solving skills. * The drive to succeed and want to make a contribution to the business* An interest in logistics, preferably road freight * Good verbal and written communicationPackage and Benefits:* Salary £21,000 * Pension * 22 days holiday to start * Rewards and Discounts* Heath care plan* Cycle to work scheme* Social events* Free Parking* Plus more
