The Role of a Planning Director
As Planning Director, you will be at the forefront of our projects, ensuring the smooth delivery of planning permissions and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning process for multiple residential and commercial development projects
- Develop and implement innovative planning strategies aligned with business goals
- Manage relationships with local councils, planning consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Oversee planning applications, appeals, and compliance with statutory requirements
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members

Essential Criteria for a Planning Director
- Demonstrable years of experience in consultancy, planning, development, or a related field.
- Strong client management and business development skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of planning regulations, development processes, and related legislation.
- Extensive contacts within the area of planning
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., a degree in planning, real estate, urban design, or a related discipline) are preferred.
- Chartered membership of the RTPI is highly desirable.
