Quality Control Manager

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Leading Protective Clothing brand in search of a Quality Control Manager. This is a permanent role based in Doncaster.


This role offers the opportunity to uphold the highest quality standards and build strong relationships with manufacturers, while leading the QC team and ensuring garments meet brand ethos.


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain the highest standards of garment construction, safety, and labelling across the range.
  • Act as the first escalation point for any QC issues, planning resolutions with the Quality Controller and suppliers/manufacturers.
  • Provide weekly/monthly QC reports to the Head of Technical, highlighting outcomes, data, concerns, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the production team for forward planning of deliveries and manage QC priorities across teams and locations.
  • Oversee the QC process from concept to completion, ensuring all garments meet QC standards and audit requirements.
  • Analyse QC data to identify trends, propose improvements, and ensure efficient processes.
  • Manage and support the QC team, providing ongoing training and development.


What are we looking for?


  • Extensive experience in quality control and production of multi-product garments.
  • Proven ability to manage QMS systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience managing teams and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across international locations.
