A wonderful opportunity has arisen to join our talented team as an Junior Interior Designer / Interior Architect, to assist in the delivery of a wide range of design projects, from conception through to completion. The successful candidate will be based out of our Berkhamsted studio and working predominantly on high-end residential projects within London and surrounding areas, with occasional work further afield and internationally. 


This is a perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to become a core member of our team at a very exciting time in Tobias Oliver Interiors’ growth plans. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on luxury residential projects and be comfortable working as part of a small team; they will be highly creative and have excellent all-round knowledge of both FF&E and technical projects. They will also have a high level of design skill for preparing documents for presentation and be comfortable in a client-facing role.


This is a full-time position ideally beginning in February 2025.


Responsibilities


•Working independently or as part of a team you will be required to manage allaspects of FF&E Projects from concept to final onsite installation

•Developing initial client brief and creating concept presentations

•Creating technical drawings and tender packages for construction

•Producing floor plans, elevations and bespoke joinery drawings

•Co-ordinating all elements of FF&E including selection, specification, ordering and installation

•Sourcing and procuring bespoke joinery and FF&E design, including technicaldrawings to be issued to suppliers•

Creating project schedules and costings

•Liaising with contractors, architects and suppliers in order to deliver a project

•Sourcing items and researching new suppliers in line with sustainability policy

•Assisting the retail ecommerce side of the business



Qualifications


•At least 2+ years’ post qualification with experience working on luxury residential projects

•Capacity to deal with multiple projects at one time

•Be creative and able to find imaginative solutions being mindful of budget and time deadlines

•Excellent project management and budgeting skills

•Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills with a proactive approach andstrong attention to detail

•Experience of working on-site and liaising with contractors to ensure accurate executionof design and assure the highest levels of quality are maintained

•In-depth knowledge of the FF&E market at the required level, with a comprehensive understanding of different materials and their suitability for different applications

•You will be required to have a good understanding of current trends in the luxury interior design industry

•Ability to solve problems and find solutions to difficult situations in a calm professional manner

•Be analytical and extremely organised, able to prioritise tasks under pressure and pre-empt problems from experience


Skills 

•Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and to use AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign,and Photoshop are essential for this role

•Knowledge of EstiMAC is preferable however training can be provided for this

•Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
