We are seeking two experienced Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitors (Associate/Senior Associate level, 3-8 years PQE) to join a rapidly growing Restructuring and Insolvency team in London.
This team delivers expert guidance on both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters for a diverse range of clients, including insolvency practitioners, businesses, directors, lenders, and other stakeholders. They handle complex domestic and cross-border cases, providing practical, tailored advice to clients on a wide range of issues, from pre-packs and administrations to contentious insolvency matters, such as acting for officeholders and creditors in disputes.
The team’s work spans:
- Transactional: pre-packs, administrations, CVAs, restructuring plans, and cross-border restructurings.
- Contentious: personal and corporate insolvency, including actions against or defense of former directors, creditor claims, and antecedent transactions.
- General Advisory & Enforcement: providing guidance on rights and obligations for various stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will be capable of independently handling contentious and transactional restructuring and insolvency work, often within tight timeframes.
Key skills and experience include:
- Proven ability to take ownership of cases and lead instructions with minimal oversight.
- Supervisory and management experience, with the capability to support junior colleagues.
- Strong client care, drafting, and advocacy skills, with meticulous attention to quality control.
- High levels of organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- In-depth technical knowledge of core Restructuring & Insolvency areas.
- Ability to conduct independent legal research and provide strategic recommendations.
- Business development and marketing acumen, with financial management awareness.
- Strong academic credentials.
