The Role: EHS Manager

Location: Spennymoor (onsite)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an EHS Manager to join our team on a permanent basis to oversee Environment, Health & Safety for our Spennymoor site.


What You’ll Do

Reporting into the Operations Manager with a dotted line into the Regional EHS Lead, you will provide EHS leadership, advice and compliance assurance to ensure that the Spennymoor site operates to a high level of EHS continuous improvement. You will also champion and lead a zero-harm culture, ensuring the site adheres to the Environmental Health & Safety regulations.

  • Manage any technical, facilities & EHS related issues
  • Manage the maintenance, Health & Safety and environmental teams completing their performance reviews and ongoing development
  • Maintain awareness appropriate to the business, of current and changing legislative requirements, and advise management on any implications
  • Providing EHS advice to all levels of stakeholder, ensuring appropriate levels of understanding
  • Working together with the Site Leadership and with support from Global EHS Team to ensure:
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Accurate implementation of Corporate policies and programs
  • Actual implementation of improvement plans consistent with annual EHS goals and programmes
  • Working together with the Operations Manager to drive all relevant EHS training requirements for Site Leadership and all other employees


What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience in an EHS capacity
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety basic regulatory and legal framework
  • Proficient IT skills using various platforms including Microsoft Office
