The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role calls for an accomplished finance leader eager to take ownership of a team dedicated to business partnering, strategic analysis, and driving process improvements. This hybrid position offers flexibility, with a blend of remote work and engaging site visits once a week to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Deliver insights on business performance and strategic recommendations to guide improvement liaising with Regional Managers. Enable cross collaboration, supporting initiatives and leveraging data to inform key decision making.
  • Analysis: Improve business analysis data, ownership of site-by-site KPIs, procurement and distribution operations. Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and mentor a high-performance finance team, including 2 direct reports and a remote accountancy team. Focus on building technical and analytical skills within the team, whilst establishing clear objectives, expectations and career growth.
  • Accounting: Oversee accounting requirements for the business unit; streamlining month-end processes and managing audit queries.
  • Reporting: Generate accurate, timely management reports to support decision-making, including Monthly Board Packs and ad-hoc Retail reports. Collaborate with departments on budgets, forecasts, and provide financial insights to Senior Management as needed.


What we need to see

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of working within a multi-site corporate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Track record of successful business partnering
  • Strong accountancy skills
  • Advanced Excel skills


Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 (+12.5% discretionary bonus)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Croydon (2-3 days in office per week, the ability to travel to outlets)
