Business Development Manager - UK & Ireland

Up to £60k Base DOE | 15% Quarterly Bonus | Company Car Allowance | Hybrid Role

A rapidly growing, family-run business with a strong heritage and a recent influx of investment is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to spearhead their growth across the UK & Ireland. Established in 2008, our client is a leader in supplying high-quality batteries and accessories for the mobility sector, with a customer base split equally between OEMs and dealers in the mobility market. Now, with significant backing and a clear vision for expansion, they are looking to expand into new markets, including solar, UPS, and battery storage.

This is a hybrid, new business-focused role where you will split your time between 3 days working from home/office and 2 days on the road, developing both existing accounts and uncovering new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business: 70% of your time will be spent cultivating fresh opportunities in solar, UPS, and battery storage markets, in addition to the mobility sector.
  • Manage core accounts: 30% of your time will be focused on nurturing existing relationships with OEMs and dealers who purchase batteries and accessories for mobility products.
  • Relationship-building: You will be expected to establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both existing and new customers.
  • Close deals: Your goal is to secure new business wins and drive revenue growth by identifying and closing high-potential deals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Location: Ideally based within 1 hour of Swaffham, but our client will consider applicants based across the UK for remote working.
  • Industry experience: Experience selling batteries, power solutions, energy, UPS, solar, or mobility products is highly desirable.
  • Sales-driven: A proven new business hunter, skilled in building relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Tech-savvy: Familiarity with the mobility or energy sectors and an understanding of relevant technologies will be an advantage.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: Up to £60k basic per annum DOE
  • Bonus structure: 15% bonus paid quarterly on all new business wins
  • Company car allowance: £500 per month
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days annual leave
  • Hybrid working: Flexibility to work from home/office and spend 2 days in the field

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a dynamic, family-oriented company with huge growth potential. If you have a passion for sales, are motivated by new business development, and have experience in battery solutions or related sectors, we want to hear from you.
