Lead Business Analyst – Financial Crime




A great new opportunity has become live for a Lead Business Analyst to join an innovative Digital Transformation Consultancy to support a leading UK bank to achieve customer advocacy by eliciting and understanding the customer needs and analyse, refine, translate and ensure they are documented in a form that can be readily understood by all stakeholders.



You’ll be a focal point of the Customer Data programme, interrogating and interpreting large volumes of data whilst working with several stakeholders across the bank to deliver prioritised outcomes with a focus on Financial Crime and KYC.



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for an autonomous role where you can shape the role around you long term, lots of progression options available where you could be managing the team in the future.



The client location is in Central London, 2-3 days a week in the office.




Responsibilities of the Lead Business Analyst – Financial Crime include:

  • Define and document business requirements for future-state design, linking them to domain strategy through user stories and epics.
  • Collaborate closely with business and feature teams to align on vision and ensure clarity of requirements.
  • Guide and support team development through coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues.
  • Translate business needs into actionable insights for informed stakeholder decisions and technical prioritisation.
  • Analyse complex cross-functional and cross-group requirements for technology solutions.




The successful Lead Business Analyst – Financial Crime will have/be:

  1. A proven background as a Senior/Lead Business Analyst
  2. Deep experience working within the Banking space – ideally for tier 1 & 2 banks
  3. Prior experience working on Financial Crime and KYC projects
  4. Experience of writing business requirements and user stories
  5. Ability to coach & mentor more junior members of the team



You can expect a salary of up to £90,000 - £100,000, depending on experience plus a range of excellent benefits.
