Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

  • Perform a variety of complex skilled tasks to assist in the daily running and preventative maintenance of the production equipment, have ownership small projects.
  • Perform mechanical skills to diagnose faults and repair including but not limited to pneumatic, hydraulic, to production machines.
  • Perform electrical skills to diagnose faults and repair, upgrades to machines and facilities.
  • Read & interpret equipment manuals & work orders to perform required maintenance and service plans.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Assist in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including developing planned and preventative maintenance and complete work status feedback.
  • Use of own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials, and seeking manufacturer technical support

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Experience
  • Engineering Qualifications - HNC / NVQ / C&G, 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
  • Fault Finding Ability Both Mechanically & Electrically
  • Experience of performing Maintenance Engineering within an Industrial Manufacturing Environment.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings
  • Competent in interpreting blueprints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions, manuals, specifications, and correspondence.
