Health Safety & Training Manager / H&S Manager


A leading FMCG Chilled Foods Manufacturer is currently seeking a Health Safety & Training Manager to join their business on a permanent basis. This business can offer fantastic learning and development opportunities for you to grow your career.


Reporting into the Site General manager and working with key stakeholders on site and within Group, you will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and managing health, safety and training policies and procedures to group standards.


You will be responsible for managing site compliance, providing guidance, advice, induction & ongoing training


Hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours PW

8.30am-5pm but some flex on hours


Health Safety & Training Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out regular and comprehensive risk assessments and maintain records to ensure management have access to up-to-date safety records.
  • Assist maintaining standard operational procedures, which identify and take account of all relevant hazards both current and new.
  • Oversee that safe working procedures are developed and implemented and assist with reviewing and writing new processes and procedures
  • Ensure the continuous maintenance and development of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and comply with all national and local regulations, standards, codes and company policies and advise employees and management on regulatory issues
  • Assist in the development and delivery of in-house training and management of training records and compliance reporting.
  • Compiling incident and accident statistics and supporting the company’s objectives for an incident free culture.
  • Perform internal Health and Safety Audits & prepare for external Health and Safety Audits
  • Carry out monthly H&S meetings with site management team and site H&S champions
  • Investigate and attend all accidents/incidents that occur and collate all information and create reports.
  • Establish a positive cultural attitude towards health and safety.
  • Skills & Experience required:

    We're seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional with experience of working within an FMCG Manufacturing Environment. Must have NEBOSH General (or equivalent) as a minimum. Experienced in training and be able to display strong presentation skills and can demonstrate the ability totrain staff at all levels
