Job Role | The best and worst job in the World! The Recruitment Consultant (in our case an IT Recruitment Consultant)




Well you could call yourself a Talent Acquisition Consultant, Talent Specialist, Talent Scout, Search Executive, a Human Trafficking Consultant... Call a spade a spade, you help match up the best candidates against for the best jobs.




Tenacious, charming, hungry, 'think on your feet' - you can spin on sixpence - these are some of the qualities we are looking for. How much do you back yourself and how much do you want it? Enough we hope!




Salary | £30-45,000 basic salary | Uncapped Comms | Basically you work harder we can pay you more. The better you are at finding people jobs, the more basic salary we can pay you! The commission scheme is pretty good - well one of the best in the industry!




Location | Hybrid Working – Work between your home and our offices in Central Birmingham with parking (outside CAZ zone). Decent location with some great views of the City. We like to see you in the office and not just at the end of Webcam so it would be good to see you at some point during the week!




Training | Every day is a school day. We are partnered with some of the industries most recognised trainers to make sure you don't fall too behind the rest of the market.





Key traits needed | Enthusiastic; don't take yourself too seriously; move on from rejection; commercial; think outside the box; spin a number of plates at one time; quirky but most of all you like to have fun; persistent when you hit the résistance.



What we would like to see | A track record where you have been involved in some form of b2b sales. Worked in IT Sales? That would work. Worked in Recruitment even better. Worked in a specialist area such as Finance, IT, Pharma or anything else? We should be talking. Know the term STEM, hit us up!

We work with clients ranging from FTSE 250 listed outfits, household names and Start-Ups sitting across the UK, United States, EMEA and ASIA-APAC Regions, giving you the opportunity to expand your client base and be supported by the senior management team.




CTA have grown year on year since our inception and we are looking for a Principal IT Recruitment Consultant (or someone that would like to get in that ground up for their recruitment career) that can help and grow a number of new and existing accounts. The successful individual will help mentor junior members of staff (now or in the future) and we would like someone to grow and develop into one of our future leaders.



We are happy to have someone based working from home but would ideally need some visibility in our offices in Central Birmingham for the majority of the week but we are flexible and will offer remote working where needed. Call us old school, but its good to learn through osmosis and be around those on the same journey as yourself!

What we would like to see from someone that joins us:


  • Someone that has previously worked a successful niche recruitment desk preferably in the tech space. However, if you have worked in Finance or Pharma, placing niche candidates, we would be interested in talking to you.
  • Someone that is collaborative and happy to help those around them achieve and do well. We work as a team and help each other during those sticky situations we always find ourselves in.
  • A record of bringing at least £120,000 - £150,000 of billings per year.
  • Experience in Account Management and/or Business Development - if you have been in this industry for some time, your experience in creating and sustaining relationships matter.
