Hourly Rate: £15.28 + £2.52 additional night rate between 18:00 and 06:00.
Location: DPD Carlisle, Unit 1 Bacard Way, Kingmoor Park North, Carlisle, CA6 4FD
Days of Work: Sunday and Monday

Job Description
As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for conducting bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. This role requires operating a modern and well-maintained fleet on agreed shift patterns, delivering to HGV-friendly locations.
Key responsibilities include:
Executing precise and timely bulk collections and deliveries to maintain operational efficiency.
Operating and maintaining Class 1 vehicles in accordance with company standards and road safety regulations.
Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns to ensure consistent service delivery.
Navigating efficiently to HGV-friendly locations, optimizing route planning where possible.
Performing trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as per individual customer requirements.
Ensuring all deliveries and collections are executed with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail.
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all transport operations.
Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Representing DPD with a high degree of professionalism in all customer interactions.
Reporting any vehicle issues or route concerns promptly to the relevant department.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
Minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience
Valid UK Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card
Valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Demonstrated ability to load and unload trailers as required
