Conversion Manager / Marketing Technology Implementation Manager

Hybrid - 2 days a week in office in Manchester


Our client is an all-in-one agency that acts as an in-house marketing team for global brands. They are a collective of talented communicators, catalysts, and achievers that come together to create comprehensive solutions.


The role is not your typical role and would suit a candidate that has worked specifically implementing Marketing Technologies that are used in CRO, (Conversion Optimisation) or in other marketing activities.


THE ROLE


The role is a key role in management and implementation of conversion optimization-focused activities and technology for the agency.


We’re looking for someone that understands the methodologies, products and technologies that are used by conversion optimizers to design, build and manage complex and productive funnels for digital businesses.


They will use their knowledge to drive customer facing and product improvement projects which are designed to improve user experience through A/B testing, better analytics and tagging integration, personalization and content targeting.


They will help prioritize and mobilize technology solutions for the conversion optimization team and ensure that the organisation’s processes adequately support the technologies we are using and implementing to increase business performance.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Collaborate with marketing and conversion experts to develop and implement technology stacks to optimize the website customer experience for maximum customer conversion and retention
  • Define and execute the agency’s technical vision and strategy for the conversion technology stack
  • Ensure agency teams are using the technology and products to maximum effect and are trained adequately and supported with easy to follow documentation
  • Review and evaluate all product development requests from marketers or other business units, weighing complexity against impact, negotiating with project, commercial and marketing stakeholders
  • Oversee the backlog and prioritization of product requests, always prioritizing for results for business and a seamless website experience for the customer, overseeing the QA and UAT of the delivered solutions
  • Ensure that all new and prioritized projects are properly defined, from deep requirements gathering and that scope is well understood and well-documented
  • Bring a deep understanding of the new technology enablement and how it is to be used to deliver value to the marketing teams
  • Collaborate with marketers, business intelligence, analytics and customer insights to improve the reporting stack enabling experts to better identify opportunities from data analysis
  • Foster cross functional collaboration between: Development, CMS, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Web Architecture, Security, Web Performance
  • Maintain deep knowledge of new or emerging conversion optimisation-focused technologies (A/B testing tools, call-to-action tools, personalization tools, analytics, etc) that can help develop out product and technology suite
  • Be extremely thorough in documentation to grow the agency’s intellectual property and enable the users of your solutions to adopt and adapt to new processes and capabilities
  • Contribute into executive-level reports, work closely with or for senior leaders in commercial and marketing agency to help define technology impact and return on investment


REQUIREMENTS


This position is a senior role within the conversion optimization team and experience should be reflective of such. The successful applicant will have the following:


  • 5 + years of conversion optimization, digital marketing, product or technology management experience in a performance-centric or data-driven organization
  • A successful track record of ideating, implementing and scaling digital marketing or technology enhancement programs
  • The ability to thrive in a data-driven organization, helping facilitate technology solutions to complex marketing problems and is able to nurture multiple streams of work through the implementation process concurrently
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously within a complex organization
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Hybrid working model (2 days a week in office min)
  • Must be able to travel internationally as required (10% or less)
