Reporting to the BIM Lead at Siemens Rail Infrastructure UK, the ProjectWise Lead manages and maintains ProjectWise datasources, supporting the company's goal of transitioning from project-specific BIM to a business-wide methodology. This role ensures that the ProjectWise system serves as an internal EDMS and CAD management platform for efficient production, sharing, and storage of deliverables. Responsibilities include configuring new datasources, gathering requirements, developing business cases, and collaborating with Bentley partners. Additionally, the Administrator supports integration with Siemens systems like TeamCenter and PowerBI and is responsible for process documentation, user guidance, and training. The role can be based from any of our UK sites and working a Hybrid working week of home and office.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing datasource administration, including project setup, user support, and issue resolution in collaboration with Bentley.
- Ensuring EDMS tooling meets IT, cyber, and security requirements, working closely with IT for software updates and support.
- Authoring and publishing processes, procedures, and user guidance, and design and deliver training across all datasources.
- Leading configuration and delivery of new datasources and technology solutions, managing requirements, funding, and milestones.
- Overseeing implementation and testing of new technology solutions, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and technical testing.
- Collaborating with internal/external stakeholders, lead user groups, and support the delivery and promotion of the Siemens Mobility UK BIM Strategy.
Essential Competencies
- Chartered or equivalent professional qualifications with strong knowledge of UK and international BIM standards.
- Extensive experience with Bentley ProjectWise EDMS, including administration, configuration, and PowerShell scripting for workflows.
- Proven track record of managing teams and establishing product support functions for large programmes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in delivering engineering solutions for major UK railway projects.
- Commercially and safety-aware, able to manage resources, costs, and influence a safety culture.
- Committed to continuous improvement, proactive learning, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
