About us: Leading energy-focused special situations private equity firm, comprised of experienced investment professionals.
Job Role: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Investment Analyst with a strong background in M&A including both Sell Side and Buy Side experience. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation from TIER I or bulge bracket Investment Banks, Boutiques and Private Equity. The candidate should hold a bachelor's from a top-tier university, preferably with an MBA or master's in finance.
Strong modelling skills and an investor mindset are essential.
The role will be based in Victoria, London.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and screening investment opportunities
- Preparing investment memorandums, financial models, and supporting the development of documentation
- Getting involved in all aspects of the transaction process, from screening to closing
- Participating in the commercial, financial, legal and tax due diligence processes
- Supporting the structuring and executing investments across multiple sectors
- Monitoring and tracking operational and financial performances of investee companies
- Preparing financial performance reports for portfolio companies and deriving recommendations
Qualifications:
- You should be able to build an LBO model from scratch when provided with an annual report on a company
- Team player with a positive and hard-working attitude
- Previous involvement in deals and M&A transactions, preferably in the energy and infrastructure sector
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of valuation techniques and the ability to build model from scratch
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university (MBA or master’s in finance preferred)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High efficiency with Microsoft Office
- Fluent English and another European language is preferable (Italian is desirable)
