Pre-Wire department is a dynamic area where we carry out a varied range of manufacturing activities, which often depend on our end customers requirements. Pre-Wire provides safety critical equipment to the rail industry. It's essential that we build to a high standard of quality and customer designs, as applicable.
Here is how the programme works
Whilst on the Apprenticeship you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0695 Process Leader.

Embark on your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic apprentice development programme. We will create a personalised training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be equipped with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career here at Siemens Mobility.
Your learning experience will consist of exposure to the following:
- Morning team brief to feedback any business updates as well as discuss any issues or concerns.
- Working in rotation across the different disciplines within Pre-Wire department, including mechanical assembly, wiring processes and testing (verification / validation of completed product).
- Manufacturing products to drawings (standard products) or designs (bespoke products).
- Confirming production materials against Bill of Materials (BoM's).
- Collaborating with our local support functions which include, Material Controllers, Sales Planning, Procurement Team and Production Engineering.
We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following;
- You will have achieved at least 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above including Maths and English Language.
- Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
