We're looking for an Automation and Software Manager to join us at our Business Centre based in Bradford.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week based in the office.

Reporting into the Director of Data and Technology Products t his full-time position involves working closely with an in house group of developers and engineers to develop new products for customers across the Liberty Global group including Virgin Media/O2 and several other converged communications businesses across Europe.

You will be embedding best practices in development and testing, and driving continuous improvement within the team.

What will you be doing?
  • Collaborate with teams to design, develop, and implement new features and applications for customers within the Liberty Global portfolio of businesses
  • Drive development best practices and ensure high performance and quality in the codebase.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving and quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
We tend to look for people with:
  • Strong knowledge of the .net core framework (8.0), C#, and asp.net Core.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation, e.g. Docker,
  • Experience in React, HTML and CSS.
  • Understanding of SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of version control (GIT) and continuous integration/deployment processes
  • Knowledge and experience in writing unit and integration tests.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills to express ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
