The Projects Management Office resources, plans and governs projects for Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Customer Services in the UK. These projects include modification and upgrades, overhauls, bid support, business transformations and incident repairs. The PMO also have a specialised Service Excellence team who provide lean and efficient operating frameworks to the railway depots to ensure value is embedded and maintained in all processes and procedures across the business.
Siemens Mobility Ltd help to solve the problems of increasing traffic by working with railway operators to improve the capacity, punctuality and security of their systems and to ensure that the carbon footprint produced by transportation is kept to a minimum. As part of our Mobility division, you will be part of a team helping to design solutions and systems which have a real impact on the real world)

- Understand the role of Project Planning in Project Management and an appreciation of the different approaches, terminology and variety of tools used.
- Explore a typical project lifecycle and identify the different activity phases and different methods for communicating "the plan" to customers, stakeholders and project team members.
- Construction of a baseline project programme and establish the appropriate metrics for tracking and reporting status.
- Consider the opportunities to maximise the value add from following a disciplined project planning process.
- Coordination of multiple projects and reconciling the interdependencies between them.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Project Managers and facilitate communication across cross functional teams.
We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following;
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in (insert degree types)
- Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
