About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Trainee HGV Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (Level 2 as a minimum) who are looking to build a rewarding career in Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) maintenance and repair. As a Trainee HGV Technician, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and support from experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in HGV systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
  • Learn to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Support in conducting safety checks and ensuring compliance with all industry regulations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Develop an understanding of the operation of HGV systems and components.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
 
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (Level 2 as a minimum requirement).
  • Strong interest in vehicle mechanics, particularly in HGVs.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is desirable, with an interest in obtaining an HGV license (support may be provided by the company).
