What You'll DoStrategy & Leadership
  • Work closely with the Principal Platform SRE to ensure technical solutions align with departmental goals, and that solutions meet both short-term objectives and long-term vision.
  • Contributes to and leads new designs, architectures and standards for large-scale distributed systems spanning multiple territories and regions.
Communication & Delivery
  • Attend standups to manage the day-to-day support tasks and deliveries.
  • Communicate work status regularly and clearly.
Continuous Improvement & Reliability
  • Continuously adapt and learn from your seniors and take learning opportunities when provided, or when not, seek out learning opportunities proactively.
  • Basic understanding of GitOps and CICD principles, processes, and tooling.
Support
  • Engage with Platform Support teams to assist with 24/7 on-call incident resolution (rota-based) and engage various teams including 3rd parties for support escalation.
What You'll Bring
Required:
  • Demonstratable proficiency in designing and implementing infrastructure and public cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of administering AWS services such as IAM, Systems Manager, DXGW, IGW and TGW.
  • Understanding of Linux administration, including command line interface and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban successfully.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a complex environment.
  • Understanding of GitOps and CI/CD principles, practices, and capabilities.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Studied knowledge in cloud provider services.
  • Ability to document technical processes sufficiently to enable other team members to understand the processes or systems when on-call or during incidents.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. (Not essential if you have related experience or aptitude).
  • Relevant certifications from AWS.
  • Scripting knowledge with proven development experience.
