TLC Wales Fostering provides family foster placements for children aged 0–18 years who have a diagnosed medical condition and/or disability.  TLC Wales meets the needs of a range of children, some of whom have life limiting conditions and some who have profound physical disabilities while others have complex needs. Our Supervising Social Worker’s are experienced in the field of disability. Our Supervising Social Workers build positive relationships between TLC, the foster parent, the child, and the child’s social worker. It is a key role that helps our foster carers achieve longevity and stability of placement for the children. You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, to enable foster parents to be informed, accept, understand and operate within the regulations and national minimum standards and in accordance with Caretech Group policies and guidance. We aim to create an environment where all people feel valued and can grow, develop and achieve their goals. We work to ensure that TLC is an organisation, which thrives on the diversity of its staff, families and children, to ensure that we assist and care for those most vulnerable, and advocate with them, and on their behalf Working full time, you will be primarily home based with travel throughout South Wales visiting carers, attending meetings, taking part in C/YP activity and carers support days and recruiting new carers.   Essential Qualified Social Worker with experience of Experience of Statutory Childcare and Disability Up to date Registration with Social Care Wales Up to date knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards and other relevant legislation. Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working experience Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. Participation on an out of hours rota Understanding of the need to work with and on behalf of Children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
