Key skills required for this role Offshore Windfarm Foundation Installation Important Significant experience with Wind Farm foundation installation Job description ROLE SUMMARYOur client, a leading company in the Renewables sector, is seeking a Transport and Installation Engineer for a contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading the T&I engineering work related to the WTG foundations on an Offshore windfarm project. Your main tasks will include developing marine logistics strategy, providing T&I input into WTG foundation design, identifying suitable installation vessels, and assessing contractors' proposed methodologies for efficiency and suitability. Additionally, you will be involved in long-haul HTV vessel selection.RESPONSIBILITIES Closely interface with the Structures team to ensure that T&I requirements are introduced and reflected in the foundation designDesign lift points and define installation criteriaDevelop grillage & SF design and identify tooling requirementsCollaborate with the WTG team to understand installation parametersLiaise with the Geotech team for foundation installation and geotechnical requirementsMaintain ongoing interaction with the T&I supply chain to ensure alignment with designReview contractors' methods for transportation and installationManage risks and implement risk mitigation strategiesExhibit professional conduct and lead by example at all times TASKS Chair technical meetings with contractors and contribute to regular reporting on T&I scope developmentMonitor progress of T&I Contractor's engineering related to vessel readiness KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS Strong ability to work independently while keeping the T&I manager informedCollaborative and effective team playerExperience in contractual interface management, contractor management, and conflict/dispute resolutionEffective communication skillsMinimum 10 years of relevant industry experienceDegree in relevant technical disciplineExperience working for a developer or offshore installation contractorExperience with WTG foundation loadouts, transportation, and installationGWO suite of training certifications including First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights, and Sea Survival (with HUET)COVID-19 PassportOffshore Medical including Chester Step TestCDM and Maritime regulations experienceOffshore Lifting and LOLER experienceIT proficient Share Matchtech is a STEM Recruitment Specialist, with over 35 years’ experience
