We are now recruiting for a determined, relationship driven sales professional to join this successful team in a Regional Sales Manager role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some major civils and drainage projects and with a diverse client base, in this award-winning team at Marshalls.So Whats the Mission?Reporting in to the Southern Trading Director, you’ll be putting your sales experience and industry know-how to good use in the patch. Taking the initiative is key and you’ll be proactively identifying, developing, managing and converting high-potential drainage and water management sales opportunities, across the full range of Civils & Drainage products. While your confidence in working solo will be put to great use, you will also be using your fantastic stakeholder management and collaborative skills to build strategic relationships across the business and with key specifiers, contractors, house builders and merchants. With your keen eye for spotting potential opportunities you’ll be developing and delivering a focussed regional business plan that contributes to the national Civils and Drainage plan. A passion for delivering excellent customer service is key as you plan your customer-facing time and engage with merchant branches to encourage mutually profitable working relationships. You’ll be representing Marshalls at exhibitions and trade events which will give you further opportunity to spot market trends and competitor activity that you can utilise and share with the team. Strong commercial experience across a wide number of stakeholders including builders’ merchants, specifiers and contractors. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business through relationships across a broad range of customers. Creative thinker and have the ability to think from a solutions perspective rather than deferring to status quo and traditional methods. Working knowledge of procurement routes with the capacity to negotiate with customers using technical information and specifications as a commercial lever. Strong presentation and communication skills capable of delivering a message with authority and confidence to an individual or wider audience both internally and externally. An ability to grasp the technical aspects of a product to ensure we can sell on the strength of our products and services. Have a passion for providing excellent customer service. Have a keen eye for detail within both commercial processes and administration. Have the highest levels of timekeeping and attendance whilst always operating within Health and Safety guidelines. Being field based you will need to have a driving licence and be able to commute across the UK, ideally living on patch What’s in it for you?
