Main duties of the job As the Fundraising Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Charity Lead and Board in driving the fundraising and outreach strategy of the ELFT Charity. Your primary focus will be coordinating and executing effective fundraising activities while also enhancing the charity's brand visibility and public awareness. Working closely with the Charity Lead, Board, and key stakeholders, you will help shape the charity's objectives and support its long-term goals. This includes identifying and developing new fundraising opportunities, building relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, and ensuring all efforts align with the charity's mission and values. Job description Job responsibilities Our ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in managing fundraising and engagement strategies within a complex environment. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering successful fundraising initiatives, building stakeholder relationships, and implementing innovative approaches to boost fundraising outcomes. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive and flexible attitude. The ability to inspire confidence in donors, partners, and internal teams is key, as is the capacity to work collaboratively with the Charity Lead, Board, and external stakeholders to advance the ELFT Charitys mission. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Desirable Professional fundraising management qualification Previous Experience Essential A proven track record of fundraising, achieving or exceeding income and activity targets from both community and corporate streams using a variety of fundraising methods Experience of successfully planning and managing projects, events, campaigns and budgets Experience of working to and achieving income and activity targets Experience of recruiting, managing and supporting volunteers and fundraising groups Experience of securing significant support and account managing, developing and retaining charity partners Desirable Experience of managing/controlling budgets Line management experience Experience of successful fundraising in heath and/or mental health related charity sector Skills, abilities and attributes Essential Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building and developing successful relationships at all levels including individuals, corporate partners and grant-makers Strong networking and influencing skills Excellent administrative and organisational skills Ability to work accurately under pressure to deliver against targets Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write compelling proposals and presentations Creative and innovative thinker Ability to prioritise varied workload effectively to meet deadlines Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously Good negotiation skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with a proactive and positive attitude Knowledge Essential Practical understanding of fundraising and charity regulation, compliance and legislation Working knowledge of charity law Computer and IT literate with ability to use Microsoft Office and other commonly used applications Desirable Ability to produce professional and creative promotional copy and marketing materials Kindly ensure that your application includes a response to the following question: Essential How many years of fundraising experience do you have?
