Do you have experience of supporting children with needs? Are you interested in becoming a flexible 1 to 1 tutor outside of mainstream schools? At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children in Etwall (DE65)  with intervention support. This role is ideal if you have previously worked with SEN children as a teacher, teaching assistant, one to one or through tutoring. This intervention tutor role involves: Plan, create and teach engaging sessions based around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects. Working with children with Special Education Needs who need face to face support. This could include children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD and may take place at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers. Track progress and plan next steps. Inspire children to achieve and keep them engaged ensuring they can access the learning. Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focussed and on task. The SEN tutor roles are based in the Etwall (DE65) area , which is easily accessible via car or public transport and has links with other towns nearby. If you are looking to add experience of working with SEN children to your CV then this role is ideal for you. What are we looking for in a Intervention tutor? Experience of working with SEN children. Able to plan and deliver engaging sessions based around the needs of the learner. Ability to develop effective behaviour management strategies. Apply skills to raise children’s confidence within their learning. Able to track progress and plan next steps in children’s learning towards their learning outcomes. To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience. Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required. Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.
