Summary Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services – everything for every job!Speedy is Transforming with our new Velocity strategy, we are undergoing one of our biggest digital and people focused transformations to build a bigger, better, stronger business for the future. We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Technical Lead ideally with a background in infrastructure and cloud, someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment.At Speedy, we need motivated people who are ready to bring their whole self to work and give it their all in a fast-paced team committed to being the best!Joining the high-performingInfrastructure team, you'll be a crucial member of the team, reporting to the IT Operations Director and managing a team of experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineers to provide excellent support to the Speedy group in all aspects of IT infrastructure Operations.Overall purpose of this role will be to provide technical delivery, strategy, and leadership across the IT Operations Teams by participating in the development and active delivery of the IT Infrastructure, Microsoft cloud estate, supporting services and applications. Also, management of related activities to ensure information security, corporate governance, policies, and standards are adhered to.You will work closely with the CIO and the IT Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.Support the IT Operations Director and senior IT managers in high-level decision making regarding Speedy’s IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services.
