We are seeking to appoint committed, creative and resilient short break carers, working in Pinewood, our residential short breaks home, alongside an enthusiastic well-established team, caring for young people aged between - years that have a range of disabilities.Cheshire West and Chester Council is a place where everyone can Thrive – through our core values of Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Value for Money and Empowerment.As part of your role, you will be expected to carry out all aspects of personal care, administering of medication and will be committed to ensuring good strong relationships and outstanding outcomes for our children in this challenging and rewarding role. Our short breaks service aims to ensure that its most vulnerable children's needs are met and that their life chances are maximised to enable them to achieve their full potential. The Council has a strong residential/short breaks service and Pinewood are rated outstanding by Ofsted.Due to the growth of the home, we are are looking to recruit a number of short break carers for a range of contracts, ranging from – hours per week. Due to the nature of the home, there will be a need for the successful candidates to work a variety of shifts including, daytime, evening, weekend and overnights.You should have relevant experience of working with children. A QCF Level or equivalent in residential childcare would be desirable but not essential, however you would be expected to work towards gaining this qualification.
