About the roleThe RoleOur team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us?! The Role:As part of our Central Logistics team, based at our Glasgow Head Office, the Logistics Planner will be responsible for planning and managing all tanker servicing activities. The Logistics Planner will manage the team's day-to-day workload and plan the Tanker Services routes & servicing. The successful candidate will ensure all tankering services are met within expected timeframes and maintain strong working relationships with our depots. Effective route planning and regular vehicle maintenance checks are a crucial part of the Senior Logistics Planner role and will require regular monitoring and evaluation to create efficiencies where applicable. About YouSuccessful candidates should demonstrate the following:•Recent and proven experience working in a Logistics Planner role, preferably within a high-volume and UK wide environment•Experience of managing a successful logistics team with responsibility for processes and route planning •An effective communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels•Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritises effectively whilst producing high-quality performance reports•Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word is essential About UsFrom one division, GAP Hire Solutions now has 10 division offering the hire of equipment throughout the UK.
