Job: Installation ElectricianLocation: GlasgowSalary: £37,318 p.a.Hours: Mon to Thurs 7am - 4:30pm Kinetic Recruitment are looking for several permanent INSTALLATION ELECTRICIANS in the Glasgow area. These roles offer very long term job security, an excellent benefits package with opportunity to work a 4 day week MONDAY to THURSDAY 7am - 4:30pm paying £37,318 p.a. + OVERTIME. REQUIRED: * SVQ/NVQ 3 Marine Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Installation and Testing) OR SVQ/NVQ 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship or industry recognised equivalent. * Relevant experience, post-apprenticeship, in a marine installation or industrial installation environment DESIRABLE: * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations* PAT Testing * Installation of Electrical Systems in Explosive Areas (CompEx 01-04)* Inspection & Testing Electrical Installations (2391) KNOWLEDGE: * Understanding of electrical installation drawings, line diagrams and termination instructions.* Understanding of SHE Risks Assessments, PUWER and COSHH.* Understanding of manufacturing processes, instructions and procedures.* Range of tools, materials, equipment and components used when performing operations, their characteristics, features and their safe use, movement and operation.* Importance of isolation procedures for electrical operations and means of testing in accordance with policies. * Importance of restoring the work area to a tidy and safe state on completion of work and what this entails. SKILLS:* Maintain the safety of self along with others by following safe systems of work when conducting operations. * Select, use, maintain, and store appropriate resources safely and correctly (tools, equipment, machinery and consumables).* Follow quality improvement principles, techniques, and methods and identify any areas for improvement.* Install, position and secure marine electrical equipment and components in accordance with design specification and following all required steps and checks for the approved work operation process and operational standards.* Install and terminate cables using appropriate methods, in accordance with required specifications, and following all required steps and checks for the approved work operation process and operational standards.
