We draw from a century-old heritage of operational excellence, mission focus, and successful execution underpinned by a strong culture of safety and ethics.We are now recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join us permanently on one of our projects sites located near Newbury and HQ in Warrington.Scope:As Senior Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing and administering the head contract with the client which facilities a range of major design, construction and decommissioning projects. You will develop and implement an effective contract and procurement management programme which ensures compliance with requirements, assurance of commercial delivery and manages procurement activities resources.You’ll also be responsible for the administration of the prime contract, subcontracts and procurement. Be responsible for reporting cost and commercial performance of the programme and supporting the Programme Commercial Director in meeting the programme goals/objectives.A key contact for liaising between internal and external customers/stakeholders to ensure appropriate dissemination of commercial information, guidance, continuous improvement and reporting.Responsibilities:Delivery of the programme commercial function in a security sensitive public sector environmentManagement of functional reports through a matrix structureImplement commercial systems and procedures to ensure compliance with the programme level commercial requirementsLead contract development and management – including management of change with the clientManage commercial governance process and procedures to meet project assurance requirementsClose liaison with all Project Commercial teams and the Programme Commercial DirectorDevelop and manage supply chain frameworks to ensure value and delivery excellenceAssessing, managing and reporting programme commercial risksCollating and analysing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with programme commercial objectivesSupport the project commercial teams in the development and execution of project call-off contractsEducation/ ExperienceIdeally degree qualified in Commercial, Legal, Business, Engineering or other relevant disciplineChartered or equivalentProven experience in a commercial delivery roleMajor project delivery - primary working experience as a prime contractor rather than a client-side consultantExperience of working collaboratively project/programme/client environmentExperience of working in a safety and quality driven environmentDispute avoidance and dispute management experienceExperience of working in the nuclear industryCurrently hold SC or prepared to go through the SC processSignificant experience of ERP systems and CEMARAdditional Experience:Client facing/ Client management experience.Managerial abilities and excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenDemonstrated ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.Understanding the levels of scrutiny involved in spending public moneyFamiliarity with Public Procurement RegulationsWorking knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 suite of contractsStrong written and verbal communications skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
