Project Details This is a client-facing Quantity Surveyor role, in which you will get exposure to pre and post-contract duties. You would be reporting to Technical Director and work as a part of the existing retail team.The successful candidate for this Quantity Surveyor role will have a good level of retail, such as shop fit-out experience. There will be an opportunity for hybrid working. Successful Quantity Surveyor will be managing their time between the office, site and home. Responsibilities and Duties The Quantity Surveyor job role will involve pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties and there will be a principal focus towards providing excellent pre-contract services to repeat client customers in the retail sector. Leading and managing project work independently, such as retail fit outsPreparation of tender enquiry documentsFeasibility reportsValuationsCost ReportingFinal AccountsDeploy excellent time management strategies to ensure efficient working practicesMaintaining a good client relationship throughout Desired Skills and Experience 4-10 years of experience as a Quantity SurveyorSome previous retail experience is desiredPre – post contract and cost management experienceExcellent negotiation skillsProcurement and tendering experience.Excellent communication skills to be able to support prestige clients in the Retail sectorStrategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong commercial acumenIT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Word and Outlook Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.Full driving license Qualifications/Educational Requirements A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a degree in Cost Management or similar is preferred.MRICS is preferred, although help towards achieving MRICS is available, as this employer offers a very strong and well-established APC programme.
