The Senior Facade Designer for this role would be responsible for delivery of our contractor proposal design intent based on a set of employer’s requirements and detailed information taken from survey information.

Must be Proficient in the design (AutoCAD), concise document keeping and understanding of performance requirements of various rainscreen facade systems.

Must be competent and confident to survey various building types and substrates, taking the required information to produce a set of concise and detailed drawings for submission to the wider project team

Typically, working under the technical director but must be self-sufficient to manage the project design to completion on large scale refurbishment projects

Duties & Responsibilities:


1. Analyze and study all Project Elements including the BOQ, Specification, Employer requirements, 2. Existing O&M information & drawings

3. Complete Building Surveys

4. Drawings / design sketches and reports are required for schematic, design development, production and installation phases of projects.

5. Prepare professional & accurate detail drawings inline with the project specification in a timely manner to suit project program

6. To manage the design process working with several client appointed professional bodies to ensure all issued information is within current regulations

7. Provide high quality client service delivery in relation to outputs produced for both internal and external clients in accordance with the client's quality technical standards.

8. Responsible for efficient and profitable completion of all projects and tasks under their control whilst maintaining excellent technical standards and client satisfaction.

9. To schedule materials in preparation for order and to achieve the best cost without affecting quality of materials

10. To order all materials in line with Site program and ensure budget is met

11. To ensure all variations to the contract are noted and issued internally to the relevant department

12. To review costs and keep within set budget

13. To work closely with the site team and regularly visit site to ensure quality is maintained and site installation is as per construction drawings.
