Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide support for Department Leads and the Head of the Department with a range of administrative work.
  • Support for each partners, Academic Staff, and communication with a range of stakeholders with whom the Academic Managers are working.
  • Completing administrative work required for the hiring of Tutors, Operational and Teaching Staff, working closely with the department leads and head of department, as their Line Manager, to ensure the completion of the recruitment, induction, and career development process.
  • Working closely with the Academics to have a broad view of our employment lifecycle from pre-employment checks of attendance and Lecturers’ distribution/allocation.
  • Showing excellent administrative and organisational skills, and a good attention to detail as required.
  • Communicating clearly with members of academic staff and students as required.
  • Working at a highly competent level with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Creating diagrams, taking minutes, and writing and editing handbooks and resource documents as required.
  • Supporting members of the Academic Manager’s team.
  • Delivering the highest level of effectiveness in administrative arrangements and support as well as excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organising and working well and patiently under pressure and prioritising a busy workload within a fast-paced environment.



Qualifications and Experience Needed


Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Native English speaker or certified to the equivalent level.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience of administrative work at a higher-education institution in the UK.
