Position: Fabrication Operative Location: Wireless Station Park, Chestnut Lane, Bassingbourn Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum Employment Type: Permanent Hours: 40-hour work week, Monday to Thursday (7 am - 5 pm), Friday (7 am - 10 am, with optional overtime) Holidays: 31 days annual leave Sick Days: 5 paid sick days per year Role Overview We are seeking skilled Fabrication Operatives to join our clients team, focusing on delivering precision-engineered products for the construction sector. This is a hands-on fabrication role that offers the opportunity to develop into a Team Leader for candidates with the right skills and attitude. Key tasks include MIG and TIG welding, operating press brakes, and working with measurements to ensure high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Fabrication Tasks: MIG or TIG welding, operating press brakes, and general aluminium fabrication. Assembly Work: Build and insulate aluminium housings, ensuring products are watertight and airtight. Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality standards throughout production. Requirements To excel in this role, you should have: Fabrication Skills: Previous experience with MIG or TIG welding and it is also desirable to have experience within press brake operation. Strong Mathematical Skills: Comfortable working with precise measurements. Professional Demeanour: Organised, reliable, and a strong communicator with good people skills. Leadership Ability: Firm but fair, able to lead and inspire a team with integrity.
