About the roleThis role is part of the Council's Learning and Development Service and you'll be joining a friendly and welcoming team of around 50 colleagues who are all passionate and driven to support colleagues to professionally develop and grow and to reach their full potential. This opportunity is focused on providing engaging, thought provoking learning and development interventions that meets the priorities and ambitions of our colleagues in the Children Education and Families workforce. We work flexibly across the Learning and Development Service, which also means there will be opportunities to support initiatives that are council wide, including facilitating at our Leadership Conference, joining our pool of internal coaches (depending on skills and experience) or being part of the delivery teams for some of our council wide courses.

We are looking for a special combination of knowledge, skills and values, you will need to work collaboratively and with an inclusive approach to deliver an ambitious learning offer that responds to the priorities of the Councils Children’s, Education and Families workforce.
As an experienced Learning and Development professional, you will have an excellent understanding of learning theories and methodologies. You will be passionate about following learning trends and will be curious about how the latest L&D research could be applied to your work.
You will also understand the challenges professionals working to support children and their families may encounter and the legislative frameworks that underpin their practice and service provision.
