The Role

The Cyber Training & Awareness Specialist will have the opportunity to be instrumental in the delivery of Travelex Global Cyber Training & Awareness programme. The purpose of the role is to perform hands on delivery of the cyber awareness programme, whilst also evaluating current business culture and help craft targeted initiatives within the wider cyber awareness programme to support Travelex in achieving its corporate ambitions.

This Specialist will build strong relationships across all functions at Travelex, including up to Executive level, to promote cyber and deliver our Cyber Awareness programme. Over time, you will build and lead a network of Security Champions. The Cyber Awareness Specialist will generously share their knowledge and enthusiasm to deliver a change and culture programme which has real impact.


Key Tasks and Deliverables

  • Plan, manage and maintain complex, enterprise-wide, risk-based information security awareness campaigns and projects.
  • Create engaging cyber communications in various mediums to reach our global colleagues, aiming to inspire and teach cyber good practise. Existing methods include writing blogs, emails, newsletters, interviews and creating videos.
  • Develop and manage ways to measure the impact/effectiveness of awareness and culture projects; collect, analyse and interpret data to make recommendations.
  • Develop and lead an information security champions program, bringing new ideas and approaches for success.
  • Design, develop and deliver information security presentations for specific groups of colleagues.
  • Aligning internal Digital & Cyber communications and engagement strategy with wider organisational objectives.
  • Administer the Cyber Risk Governance intranet site and update regularly with new content, plus report on engagement metrics and trends.
  • Administer the Company LMS system from a CRG perspective, adding videos and assessments on a monthly basis.
  • Design and deliver simulated phishing campaigns using a third-party tool and produce reporting and recommendations.
  • Measure awareness and prepare management reporting.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • A proven track record of delivering successful cyber/information security awareness campaigns to drive behavioural change.
  • Broad knowledge of information security.
  • Enthusiastic - must be high-energy, motivated and driven to engage a wide audience at every level.
  • A “can do” attitude where every block or problem is an opportunity to educate, to improve and to drive cyber maturity within the organisation.
  • Solutions focussed with an ability to prioritise as appropriate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
