Our client’s Care Home is a serene and friendly residential/nursing home forming part of their worldwide group. They are a registered charity here solely to serve the elderly in need. They have homes in 31 countries all following a similar model of family centred care with Sisters living within the community on site. Their not-for-profit care model means, with your help they can focus on enabling the vulnerable elderly lead happier healthier lives in a real home setting.

Our client’s Care Home are currently recruiting for a Nurse. The home which is registered for up to 55 older people, is situated in Robroyston, Glasgow City Council. The Nurse will be required to provide a high standard of nursing care for their residents in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, supervising care staff and ensuring continuity of care for residents by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating person centred care plans for residents which promote independence, choice, dignity and respect.

For this role you must

  • Be a registered General Nurse with up to date NMC registration and evidence of continuing professional development
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Have at least 2 years nursing experience
  • Ideally have some experience of nursing in a residential elderly care home environment
  • Ensure compliance with national standards, legislation and professional guidance
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, liaising with the Care Home Manager, Clinical Lead, local GP’s, healthcare professionals, residents and families
  • Will be familiar with care and medication software
  • Have excellent spoken and written English
  • Will be flexible to work occasional evening/weekend shifts to ensure consistency of care standards throughout their 24/7 operation
