As a Chef de Partie, you will ...

  • Set up the kitchen and stations before service, ensuring all food containers and tools are ready.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Cook specific portions for each plated dish and assist with marinating, cutting, and precooking ingredients.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
  • Utilise various Southeast Asian cooking methods such as stir-fry, steam, braise, grill, and frying with skill and precision.
  • Work efficiently with woks and other kitchen equipment while ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and creative plating of dishes.
  • Assist in wrapping, storing, and cleaning at the end of the shift, keeping the kitchen ready for the next service.

What Were Looking For ...

  • Excellent cooking skills and preferably knowledge of Chinese cuisine.
  • Proficiency with woks, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
