Main duties of the job The Data Collection and Improvement (DCI) team deliver a support service to care providers with the aim to help them collect and improve the data they submit to NHS England.The team has 4 sections: Data Collection - Managing a large number of collections from several hundred providers and delivering submissions support across a range of data collection systemsData Coverage - Monitoring and supporting increased coverage across mandatory data collectionsData Improvement - Developing trusted relationships with providers to support improvements in the data submittedManagement Information - Sourcing, extracting and analysing data about collections to help DCI and other services evidence and maximise their impact. As a Data Operations Principal Administrator, you will play a key role within an allocated section. Duties specific to this role include: Responding to technical and administrative queries from providers and problem solving to find resolutionsSupporting providers to submit and improve data to NHS England across a range of data collections and systemsSupporting the delivery of provider-focussed services and processes for allocated collections, systems or data improvement projectsAssisting with the facilitation of national and/or regional engagement with providers, such as central communications and user groupsCollating and sharing feedback from providers to improve the data collected and our collection processes. Person Specification Knowledge Essential A broad level of Data Services subject matter expertise as required by the business area, with the ability to provide subject matter expertise to internal and external. Knowledge Essential An understanding of data set / data collection / data quality improvement development / data dissemination principles. Knowledge Essential An awareness of NHS information systems and data flows. Skills Essential Experience in successful delivery of data-related services in a large and complex organisation. Exprience Essential Experience of effective internal and external stakeholder management, building and maintaining relationships through excellent communication and the effective management of customer expectations. Education/Qualifications Essential Educated to post graduate degree level/ diploma or equivalent experience delivering operational services to customers
