We’re Hutch, a mobile games developer & publisher with studios in central London, Dundee and Canada. Our mission is to build the most diverse and engaged automotive gaming community on mobile. Our games have been played by over 300 million people, with new titles in development.

We believe in putting our people first. Here you can make games without sacrificing quality time with family and friends. We strive to ensure our people are happy and healthy.

Our teams are small and empowered, they have the independence to take on creative and technical challenges together, to work collaboratively, to make great games and have fun along the way.

We believe in: looking after our people, small empowered teams, complete transparency, test, learn, repeat, community at the core, and the freedom to focus on what truly makes a difference to our players.

We’re driven by our players! Come and join the mission!

Product Director - F1 Clash

As Product Director on F1 Clash, you will work closely with the Creative Director to lead a hugely successful title to new heights. You will own the commercial operation of the title and work with a passionate team of developers to continue delivering a breakout experience for F1 fans around the world.

You are a keen gamer with a passion for the mobile F2P market but also the ability to pull from your experience of games across all platforms.

You will report to the company Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the commercial growth of F1 Clash.
  • Lay out a dynamic and live business strategy for the product by understanding what makes the game tick, how players behave and respond, how reference games drive growth and how we can learn from them.
  • You will be the fan-bearer for the use of data in all aspects of the game’s development.
  • You will work closely with the Creative Director on the team to ensure that business strategy and creative strategy are in sync.
  • You will use your strong analytical skills to monitor game performance, understand the interactions between UA performance and game performance, and help make data-informed decisions to balance the needs of the business vs the needs of the players.
  • You will be a key part of ensuring that ambitions for the game can be translated into effective and achievable tasks for the team.
  • Oversee the use of Live ops and CRM to maximise their potential.
  • You will be responsible for the Product Management team on the project.
  • You will work with the Producer and Creative Director on the team’s approach to development, culture, and management.
  • You enjoy presenting and can take on the communication of the game’s performance and business strategy to the team, Hutch stakeholders, the wider business and external partners.

Requirements:

  • An experienced Game Director or Lead Product Manager with multiple shipped mobile F2P games under your belt - you have direct experience of success and failure and can talk about both in depth.
  • Driven by commercial success.
  • A strong understanding of games-as-a-service, F2P and monetisation.
  • A laser focus on always moving things forward, breaking strategies into a tactical plan and ensuring delivery against that.
  • A passion for F1 is desirable but, as a minimum, you need to be excited and motivated by the prospect of immersing yourself in the F1 universe, developing a deep appreciation for why players care about this content and the opportunities that exist around it.
  • You have experience taking a lean approach in a data-led environment to balance speed with risk.
  • You communicate effortlessly, lightly, and respectfully, and you can do this in person, in groups, in writing, and at a whiteboard.
  • A relentless curiosity for the mobile games market, its history, trends, and consumers.
  • Open to the fact that no one has all the answers. Eager for feedback and taking on-board ideas from your team, the wider team at Hutch, and the ever-evolving industry.

Benefits:
