Job Purpose

Working for Finance Director, Global Support Functions (GSF), the Finance Business Partner will be the primary financial lead to a number of GSF Heads (Executive Committee members) and their teams in providing high quality insight, financial analysis and reporting to support effective decision making. As part of the role, the Finance Business Partner will work with senior stakeholders to prepare Budgets and Forecasts for Global Functions, supported by detailed plans to implement. The role will own GSF(s) variance tracking and action throughout the year to ensure delivery on target.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop strong working relationships with GSF Heads (and their teams) to understand the Function(s) and provide tailored day-to-day financial support.
  2. Lead the preparation of Global Functional Budgets, supported by plans to implement, plus associated Global GSF Budget presentations for the CEO & CFO.
  3. Partner with the GSF Heads in responding to financial tasks & challenges including the development of options and data-driven recommendations.
  4. Track monthly global Actuals vs Budgets for assigned GSFs.
  5. Bring insight and recommended interventions to ensure delivery on target.
  6. Work and lead collaboratively.
  7. Coordinate effectively with global Finance and Functional colleagues to proactively drive alignment on Function-related data & decisions.
  8. Other project work as required by Finance Director, Global Support Functions or Global Function Heads.

Key skills and experience

  1. Qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA or similar).
  2. Technical accounting acumen & experience.
  3. Minimum 5 years PQE.
  4. Relevant experience/role working in a global corporate environment.
  5. Ability to role model effective Business Partnering skills.
  6. Effective communicator both in writing and face to face as well as ability to relate to audiences at all levels.
