Private Equity UK 5 - 10 years 2 - 5 years About our client Our client is a $4bn Asset Manager established 11 years ago to provide discretionary management of three large philanthropic foundations. Investing across asset classes via both external managers and direct investments, the firm has a long-established private markets strategy that covers both private equity and venture capital. This role reports directly to the CIO, working alongside an existing team member, and will predominantly cover private equity buyout strategies from both a fund and co-investment perspective. The preferred candidate will have an excellent opportunity to work in a small, lean team with plenty of capital to deploy and superb access to a range of managers. What the job involves

Sourcing and underwriting private equity and venture capital primary fund investments, and occasionally working on co-investments/direct investments. Monitoring and assessing existing fund investments. Assisting in the performance measurement, benchmarking, and reporting of the private funds portfolio. Drafting detailed update reports on private fund investments. Maintaining a good knowledge of the investable universe of private equity and venture capital funds. Developing and maintaining relationships with fund managers. Who we are looking for

Strong academic and proven technical background, preferably CFA qualified or equivalent. Strong knowledge of private fund strategies, including private equity, venture capital, and infrastructure. Ability to source investment opportunities and cultivate key relationships. Strong analytical and computer skills (especially with Excel and MS Office and database management). Qualitative and quantitative skills. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
