Job Title: Passive Fire Protection Inspector/Consultant
Location: London and South
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of passive fire protection and are looking for an experienced Passive Fire Protection Inspector/Consultant to join our team.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Passive Fire Protection Inspector to carry out site-based inspections of passive fire protection systems across various live sites. The role involves assessing fire doors, fire stopping, cavity barriers, structural steel fire protection, fire dampers, ductwork, partitions, and ceiling systems, and reporting on deficiencies, along with recommending acceptable remedial measures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive inspections of in-built passive fire protection systems, including fire doors, fire stopping, cavity barriers, and more.
Ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations, technical standards, and building codes.
Communicate regularly with clients to coordinate inspection schedules and follow-up remedial work.
Record findings on-site and compile detailed reports on the condition of fire protection systems.
Work with the team to prepare and submit quotes and relevant documentation to clients.
Utilize online reporting software to record and track inspections (experience with such software is beneficial).
Conduct inspections 5 days a week with report writing included in site time.
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in the passive fire protection industry, with a strong understanding of fire protection systems and proper installation techniques.
Familiarity with the latest fire safety regulations and building codes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using software for recording and reporting inspections.
Desirable Qualifications:
IFE Level 3 Passive Fire Protection
Level 6 Site Inspection Qualification
Level 3 Fire Stopping Inspection
Level 3 Fire Door Inspection
Level 3 Ductwork and Fire Damper Qualification
Level 3 Intumescent Coatings Inspection
