Description:

The Global Technology Director is responsible for leading the technology strategy and execution for the Specialty Solutions business. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, enhancing technological capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality specialty solutions to our customers. The Global Technology Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the business's long-term growth plan and annual operating plan.

Identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Develop and manage the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Lead the research and development efforts to create new products and improve existing offerings.

Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with external partners, including universities and research institutions, to leverage cutting-edge technologies.

Build and develop a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and career development opportunities.

Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to execute the technology strategy effectively.

Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and teamwork.

Oversee the implementation of technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of technology initiatives.

Continuously evaluate and improve technology processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Develop and lead a customer-focused technical service function to provide exceptional support and service to our customers.

Ensure the technical service team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to address customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.

Foster strong relationships with customers by understanding their technical needs and providing tailored solutions.

Stay abreast of technological advancements and trends in relevant industry sectors.

Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can enhance the company's product offerings and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement strategies to protect Aurorium's intellectual property and ensure sustainable business advantage.

Work closely with legal and compliance teams to safeguard proprietary technologies and innovations.

Develop deep relationships with key customers and industry players to understand their technology needs and challenges.

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support business development efforts and drive market growth.

Qualifications:

Strong track record of driving innovation and delivering successful technology projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Ability to frequently travel to other Aurorium locations, vendors, and customer locations.
