Head of Project Management Office , where you’ll establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for capital expenditure (Capex) projects across our organisation. This pivotal role is fundamental to delivering our long-term national strategic plan, overseeing a project portfolio that drives operational efficiency and growth. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing PMO team in a brand-new role to our organisation, giving you a real opportunity to shape the way this team operates and deliver best practice across

500 annual projects. At any point, your team will be

leading a diverse portfolio of 40 CAPEX projects

with an annual spend upwards of £100 million on projects such as new production plants or overhauls of our existing equipment. You’ll define resource requirements and liaise with stakeholders of all levels across the UK to secure the necessary support for projects. You’ll oversee all capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects deliver expected efficiencies and align with strategic goals, whilst providing a seamless project delivery through engaging, motivating, and indirectly influencing cross-functional matrix teams. You’ll ensure compliance with our capital management frameworks and governance standards, as well as proactively manage risks and schedules for individual projects and the total portfolio. Report regularly on progress using appropriate methodologies and escalate key issues to senior management when necessary. Who you are You’ll be a strategic thinker with an engineering background and strong technical understanding. Your proven track record to deliver on CAPEX projects within an industrial environment will be essential to thrive in this dynamic team. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams in a matrixed environment. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders and executive teams. A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and implement continuous improvements. Strong technical acumen in construction, infrastructure, or related fields, with a deep understanding of industry best practices.
